Not really. There's no swipe deck and no matching algorithm deciding who you're allowed to see. WYA just shows you who's around, what's on, and lets you connect — what happens after that is up to you.
Can strangers see my exact location?+
No. People Nearby is opt-in and shows general proximity, not a live pin on a map. You choose when you're visible, and you can go invisible again any time. WYA Tap doesn't use GPS at all — it's Bluetooth, so it only works phone-to-phone, in person.
How does WYA Tap actually work?+
Both people open the Tap screen and hold their phones near each other. Bluetooth handles the handshake — no QR code, no internet required, no typing a username you'll get wrong. You're connected in under a second.
What if we don't speak the same language?+
That's what WYA Voice is for. Speak a message in Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, or English and the person on the other end reads it in their own language — auto-translated, no separate app needed.
Who can see my phone number or contact info?+
Nobody, by default. Contact info stays gated behind an explicit request that you approve — not handed out just because someone found your profile.
